Ruby Pendant

Gem Hunter Gary Bowersox purchased a piece of rough ruby at Jegdalek, Afghanistan, from Mir Waees Khan. The rough piece weighed 35 carats. It was delivered to Bart Curren for carving. The result was this 10.88 carat ruby. Jewelry designer Beverly Bevington visualized this gem in the above piece, and Beverly's drawing was then built by Gary Mills, with 18 Karat gold and diamonds.
